Foundayo (orforglipron) is a once-daily pill; steps from the FDA label. Dates are the minimum spacing in the label, laid on a calendar, not a recommendation to step up. Your prescriber sets the pace, and a step can be delayed or held at any dose, for example while side effects settle.

Your start date

Quick answer: Take it once a day with or without food. Take a missed dose as soon as you remember, without doubling up; after 7 or more missed doses in a row, the label says to restart the escalation at a lower dose. At the minimum pace, 5.5 mg starts on day 61 and 17.2 mg on day 151.

Educational summary of the FDA label, not medical advice. The label sets the minimum time at each step; your prescriber sets your actual schedule, which can be slower at any point. Never change a dose or step up on your own.

What does the Foundayo label say about missed doses and how to take it?

The Foundayo label says to take a missed dose as soon as possible and not to double up the next one. If 7 or more doses in a row are missed, it instructs restarting dose escalation at a lower dose to reduce the risk of stomach and gut side effects.

Take one tablet a day, with or without food, swallowed whole. Do not take more than one tablet a day.

Steps past 5.5 mg are based on how you respond to and tolerate each dose. The label caps the dose at 9 mg for people also taking a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor, a group of medicines your prescriber or pharmacist can check for.

Strengths. Tablets in 0.8 mg, 2.5 mg, 5.5 mg, 9 mg, 14.5 mg, and 17.2 mg.

Which Foundayo dose do people stay on?

The label does not name one maintenance dose. Everyone reaches 5.5 mg, and going higher depends on how you respond to and tolerate each dose. In the ATTAIN-1 trial, average weight loss over 72 weeks was 7.4% on 5.5 mg, 8.3% on 9 mg, and 11.1% on 17.2 mg, alongside diet and activity; the Foundayo weight loss calculator maps those averages to your starting weight.

FAQ

How long do you stay on 0.8 mg of Foundayo?

At least 30 days, per the label. 0.8 mg is the starting dose; the label then moves to 2.5 mg for at least 30 days, then 5.5 mg.

What is the highest dose of Foundayo?

17.2 mg once daily. The steps past 5.5 mg (9, 14.5, and 17.2 mg) are optional and at least 30 days apart, and the label caps the dose at 9 mg for people also taking a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor.

What if you miss a Foundayo dose?

Take it as soon as possible and do not double up the next one. If you miss 7 or more doses in a row, the label says to restart the escalation at a lower dose, so check with your prescriber.

Are the dates in the planner a recommendation to step up?

No. They are the minimum spacing the label requires between steps, laid on a calendar from your first dose date. The label sets a floor, not a schedule: your prescriber decides whether and when you move up, and staying longer at any dose is allowed.

Is this dosage chart free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes, it is free, and no sign-up or email is required. Pick the medication, enter your first ${first} date, and the schedule updates instantly; there is a print button for the fridge or the clinic. The GlucoPal iOS app it comes from is also free to download.
